Batting 1000 "Champions" In Labor Day

Posted by B1 Ghost on Sep 01 2014 at 04:48PM PDT in Fall 2014

What a weekend for our two senior Seminoles teams competing in separate Labor Day Tournaments across the Island! First, Coaches CJ Ferriggi and Paul Valerio combined their returning players from the B1 Heat and Seminoles summer teams to form a new B1 17u Seminoles team. The results were a 5-0 weekend becoming the 18u Boys of Summer Labor Day Champions. The pitching was solid, the defense was near flawless and the team quickly jelled.

Meanwhile, out in Yaphank, the 18u Seminoles coached by Evan Okon and Pete Budkevics were having their own coming out party. With new additions like Mike Delio from the Pirates, the Neuweiler twins from the Heat and Jonathan Hulkower from the Colts, the team is so deep with talent, it’s frightening. The results were a 6-0 weekend at Baseball Heaven winning the Labor Day 18u Division Championship.

It’s a great start for Fall Seminoles baseball as these two teams won their respective Labor Day 18u Championships. Congratulations Coaches, players parents and families. Let’s keep it up over the next 6 weeks !
