This past weekend saw many of our teams competing in various Memorial Day Tournaments around the Long Island area. Overall, the teams compiled a 35-22-1 record with two teams winning their respective championships. Congratulations to Coach Okon and his Seminoles team who won the Boys of Summer 13u Division. Rob Cavallo’s squad won the 14u Division by defeating the Buscemi/Shacca 14u Seminoles in their championship game. Several teams made it to the finals but came up just a bit short. Coach Montesano’s 15u team lost a 1-0 heart breaker in the finals at Baseball Heaven while Coach Valerio 11u Seminoles lost in the finals at Plainedge. Outstanding pitching and defense lead the 5-0 Rinaldi 17u Seminoles into the finals at Boys of Summer but the team would finish runner up.
